About the event

We're excited to bring Capoeira back to the farm!

Capoeira is an African-Brazilian martial art that incorporates movements, music and tradition. This class will be led by world-renowned Capoeirista, Mestre Kamau, who leads the group FICA-Philadelphia. There will be lessons in both movement and music. The class will end with a practice roda (circle), which is where practitioners put what they learn into action.

We will also include lessons about regenerative agriculture. Because this event is being hosted at Free Haven Farms, we'll get to hear from the owners, Micaiah the Farmacist and Dr. Cynthia Hall, about how to grow your own food and how to use food as medicine. Each participant will receive free seeds, seedlings, and fresh produce from the farm.
